Kitengule Hospital is hiring for a highly motivated and experienced Pediatrician who is interested working in one of highly trusted hospitals in Dar es Salaam.

Kitengule Hospital invites applications from qualified, experienced, and dedicated medical professionals to fill this position of Pediatrician. We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled specialist committed to providing exceptional healthcare services to infants, children, and adolescents while contributing to the continuous improvement of pediatric care within the hospital.
Key Responsibilities
As a pediatrician at Kitengule Hospital, your responsibilities will be as follows:
- To diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of pediatric medical conditions in both outpatient (OPD) and inpatient settings (IPD).
- Providing comprehensive healthcare for newborns, infants, children, and adolescents.
- Using your best level conducting pediatric consultations, assessments, and follow-up reviews.
- To Manage pediatric emergencies and coordinating appropriate referrals to higher level hospitals when necessary.
- To utilize laboratory, radiological, and other diagnostic services effectively to support patient care.
- To participate in ward rounds, multidisciplinary team discussions, and patient management meetings.
- To maintain accurate, complete, and timely medical records and reports.
- To participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuous medical education programs, And training, mentorship, and supervision of junior medical staff where applicable.
- To undertake any other duties assigned by management in line with professional competence and hospital requirements.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from a recognized and accredited institution in Tanzania or out of Tanzania.
- Master’s Degree in Pediatrics and Child Health or an equivalent recognized specialist qualification.
- Valid registration with the Medical Council of Tanganyika (MCT) and have a current practicing license.
- A minimum of one (1) year of post-specialization clinical experience in pediatric practice; however, highly competent newly qualified specialists may also be considered.
- Sound clinical knowledge and experience in the diagnosis and management of pediatric conditions.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, quality healthcare, and professional ethics.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment, and teamwork skills.
- Flexible and willing to work scheduled clinics, ward rounds, emergency calls, weekends, public holidays, and other service arrangements as required by the hospital.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based medical practice.
